About this product

The Quietude is the pair we made because every other set we liked was glued shut. The battery is behind one Phillips screw and a €19 replacement, the earpads twist off, and the headband cushion is a stock part.

Active noise cancellation is 32 dB at 200 Hz — enough for a train or an open-plan office, deliberately not tuned for the pressure sensation that aggressive ANC produces. Transparency mode passes voices with a measured 40 ms latency.

The microphone array is six MEMS capsules with beamforming, which is the part your colleagues actually experience. Frequency response is published below and measured on a GRAS 45CA.
