Vista Supply Co. started in 2019 in a Rotterdam workshop, from a fairly narrow irritation: the desk one of us had bought could not be repaired. A motor failed after fourteen months, the part was not sold separately, and the answer from the manufacturer was a new desk.
So the rule we started with is the one we still use. If we cannot supply the parts to fix a product for at least eight years after we stop selling it, we do not sell it in the first place. It rules out a lot of otherwise good designs — anything glued, anything with a battery you cannot reach, anything with a fastener nobody else makes.
We are thirty-four people now, still in Rotterdam, still shipping from one warehouse. We have been a certified B Corp since 2023. All our oak is FSC 100 %, all our aluminium is at least 75 % recycled, and every textile we use is post-consumer recycled or wool.
How we work
- —One warehouse, in Rotterdam. Nothing drop-ships from a third party.
- —Every serviceable part is sold to anyone who asks, in or out of warranty.
- —No sales, no discount codes, no artificial urgency. A price change is a price change.
- —Repairs on bags are free forever. On everything else, in warranty, they are free within the EU.
